The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) reported a decrease in online crime damages by 3,335 million baht within five months, following the urgent policy directive from the Prime Minister.
Data from the Royal Thai Police (RTP) revealed that the total damage value from October 2024 to February 2025 stood at 11,348 million baht, marking a reduction of approximately 22.71% compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.
Moreover, the damage in February 2025 averaged 65 million baht per day, showing a significant 45% decrease from the average daily damage between January and June 2024, which was 117 million baht.
Since the launch of the Anti-Online Crime Operations Center (AOC 1441) by MDES in November 2023, in collaboration with relevant agencies, swift action in disabling professional criminals’ accounts within 15 minutes has been achieved.
Additionally, efforts to block illegal social media platforms, websites URLs, and implement various technological crime prevention measures have been intensifying under the Technology Crime Suppression Committee.
