Enhanced Graphics Performance in Nintendo Switch 2 with NVIDIA Chips: 10x Improvement, DLSS Support, RT Cores, and Separate Tensor Core Integration

Nintendos remains mum on the specifics of the Switch 2 hardware, simply mentioning it features a custom chip from NVIDIA. However, with many games requiring high resources, it’s safe to assume that it will be a powerhouse.

Recently, NVIDIA unveiled the specs of the chip in the Switch 2, revealing cores dedicated to both RT (Ray Tracing) for realistic real-time graphic rendering and Tensor cores for AI tasks, supporting DLSS technology. This enables the GameChat function to detect faces and remove backgrounds in real-time.

NVIDIA did not disclose the core count or DLSS version support but claimed that the graphic performance is ten times better than the original Switch. It maintains energy efficiency, features G-SYNC technology for on-the-go gaming, and offers developer tools to enhance game creation efficiency.
