Roblox has announced the addition of tools to allow parents to have more control over the gameplay of child users, in line with Roblox’s policy of creating a safe platform and providing peace of mind to parents (for those who are still uneasy, the CEO has advised self-restriction).
The new tools include linking a parent’s account with their child’s account, allowing parents to monitor and control Roblox gameplay more effectively in three main areas:
1. Blocking specific friends: Children must seek parental permission to unblock friends.
2. Blocking activities or Experiences they do not wish to participate in: Children can request parental approval for these as well.
3. Monitoring screen time spent on Roblox and the details of activities participated in.
