Unverified: Apple Initiates Shipment of 600 Tons of iPhones from India to America, Following Trump’s Tax Increase Delay.

Reuters has new information following reports from India revealing that Apple is hastening the shipment of iPhones to America before the United States imposes import taxes. Previous information indicated that five airplanes transported goods within 3 days.

Reports from Reuters state that after the U.S. delayed additional import taxes by 90 days, Apple seized the opportunity by ramping up efforts. Utilizing the Chennai airport as a major electronic goods hub, negotiations were expedited to speed up customs clearance from 30 to 6 hours to maximize iPhone exports to America during this period.

Apple has prepared a total of 6 cargo planes, each capable of carrying 100 tons per trip. Reuters estimates that 60 tons of iPhones would amount to 1.5 million units.

Additionally, sources reveal that Apple is accelerating iPhone production in India. The Foxconn factory in Chennai, typically inactive on Sundays, is now operating on Sundays to produce both iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 models.

Apple, Indian authorities, and Foxconn have yet to comment on these reports.

TLDR: Reuters reports Apple fast-tracking iPhone shipments to America pre-tax, optimizing customs clearance, and ramping up production in Chennai.
