After Ingress, Niantic has announced that Peridot, its second original augmented reality game, would be made accessible to players globally beginning on May 9.
Players will assume the role of “Dots” virtual pets that they are tasked with keeping happy and healthy, in an augmented reality AR game for mobile devices.
Each Dot is different from the others in that way, and they can breed to produce new generations of Dots.
The software, which can be downloaded at the moment from the iTunes Store and Google Play Store, requires prospective gamers to pre-register. A party hat for their Dot will be given to players that engage with the game during the first two weeks of its release.
