PlayStation Plus Announces Price Increase with Reduced Discount for 12-Month Package

PlayStation Plus has announced a price adjustment with a reduced discount for the 12-month package, which previously offered a greater discount than the monthly or 3-month subscriptions. However, the new price is still lower than before, but with a smaller discount.

The new prices for the membership levels in US dollars are as follows:

  • PlayStation Plus Essential 12 months: was $59.99, now $79.99
  • PlayStation Plus Extra 12 months: was $99.99, now $134.99
  • PlayStation Plus Deluxe 12 months: was $119.99, now $159.99

PlayStation explains that this price adjustment aims to enable the company to continue offering high-quality games and benefits to its members consistently.

The new 12-month membership prices will take effect from September 6 onwards for players worldwide. Existing 12-month package subscribers will still receive the original price if they renew before November 6. If they renew after that, they will be subject to the new prices.
