Guinness World Record has certified Aaryan Shukla, a 14-year-old boy, as the fastest mental mathematician in the world in 6 categories, earning him the title of “The Human Calculator.” Vassiliki Bakogianni, a representative from Guinness World Record, noted that Shukla’s speed surpasses that of calculating machines.
Previously holding the world record for mentally adding 5-digit numbers, Shukla was invited to Dubai by Guinness World Record to attempt a new record in 10 categories. Impressively, he successfully answered and set new world records in 6 of the categories:
– Fastest mental addition of 4-digit, 100 numbers: 30.9 seconds
– Fastest mental addition of 4-digit, 200 numbers: 1 minute 9.68 seconds
– Fastest mental addition of 5-digit, 50 numbers: 18.71 seconds
– Fastest mental division of a 20-digit number by a 10-digit number (10 questions): 5 minutes 42 seconds
– Fastest mental multiplication of 5-digit, 2 numbers (10 questions): 51.69 seconds
– Fastest mental multiplication of 8-digit, 2 numbers (10 questions): 35.41 seconds
