Accenture Acquires Chip Design Company in India, Outlining Necessity of Exclusive Future Chips

Accenture has announced the acquisition of Excelmax, an Indian company specializing in chip design for various applications such as automotive, data centers, and artificial intelligence. Founded in 2019, Excelmax currently employs up to 450 chip design engineers, offering services from high-level design to factory-ready layouts and turnkey production solutions.

Karthik Narain, Accenture’s Chief Technology Officer, emphasized the importance of high-efficiency specialized chips in multiple industries. The acquisition of Excelmax will enhance Accenture’s ability to provide comprehensive services to clients. This move follows Accenture’s previous purchase of XtremeEDA, a chip design company in Canada in 2022.
