Tether, the company behind the stablecoin USDT, has announced the addition of USDT and XAUT, a coin backed by gold, for trading on the TON blockchain created by Telegram (although they have since separated companies).
This move opens up opportunities for both USDT and XAUT to serve as payment tools for Telegram users, who boast over 900 million accounts worldwide.
Currently, USDT is supported on 15 different blockchains, including Ethereum, Near, Polygon, Solana, Tezos, and Tron.
