At the recent We, Robot event, Tesla unveiled several groundbreaking products including the Cybercab autonomous taxi, the Robovan driverless passenger vehicle, and the noteworthy Optimus robot humanoid that can dance, mix drinks, and interact with attendees.
Adding to the mix, filmmaker Alex Proyas, known for the movie “I, Robot”, raised eyebrows by pointing out the striking resemblance of these products to the vehicles and robots in his film. He took to Twitter to share side-by-side comparisons and humorously called out Elon Musk, asking for his designs back.
In a twist of events, Proyas also hinted at potential legal action by posting on Instagram, but eventually removed the photos from the platform.
