Adapting AdSense Algorithms: A Futuristic Shift towards Per Impression Assessment by Google

Google has announced two changes to Google AdSense. The first change involves a new revenue sharing structure and a revised payment system based on impressions. To promote transparency and align with industry rates, Google will now detail the revenue split into two tiers. In the case of AdSense ads displayed as content, website owners will receive 80% of the revenue after deducting fees from third-party ad platforms (see illustration). This means website owners will continue to earn 68% of the revenue going forward.

Google states that this change will take effect at the beginning of the next year, and website owners do not need to take any action. Additionally, Google ensures that this change will not impact the current ad revenue sharing rates.

The second change relates to the way revenue is calculated. Instead of being based solely on clicks (per click), revenue will now be measured per impression, following industry standards and improving the performance of advertisements that rely on enticing clicks.

This change will come into effect at the beginning of the next year, and website owners do not need to take any action.

TLDR: Google has announced two changes to Google AdSense: a new revenue sharing structure and a revised payment system based on impressions. The revenue split will be detailed in two tiers, with website owners receiving 80% of the revenue after deducting third-party ad platform fees. The calculation of revenue will change from per click to per impression, aligning with industry standards. These changes will take effect at the beginning of the next year, and no action is required from website owners.
