Adobe Premiere Pro now has a new feature that allows for video editing using the text captions generated by AI from the video

Adobe has unveiled a new rough cut editing option for their video editing software, Adobe Premiere Pro.

This new tool works similarly to copying and pasting text and greatly simplifies rough cut editing. Adobe Premiere Pro generates captions from the source video using Adobe Sensei AI technology, allowing editors to easily scan the written captions and drag and drop video segments accordingly.

This feature saves a significant amount of time that would otherwise be spent scrubbing through footage and listening for specific audio cues. In addition to this new feature, Adobe has also announced other video editing tools such as an automatic color grading tool that matches camera angles, and an auto-save feature that runs in the background.

These features are currently available for public beta testing and will be released for general use in May.
