Adobe XD: Firm Confirmation of Ceasing Development Amidst Figma’s Demise

Following Adobe’s acquisition of Figma’s business, there has been speculation about the company’s plans for its interface design tool. Previously, Adobe had acknowledged that Adobe XD was unable to compete with Figma, leading to the decision to acquire its rival’s business instead.

In response to these questions, an Adobe spokesperson confirmed to Bloomberg that Adobe XD will not be further developed. Currently, Adobe XD is still available for use, but without any new features. It is now in a maintenance mode, meaning that updates will focus primarily on bug fixes and support.

TLDR: Adobe has chosen to acquire Figma’s business instead of continuing to develop Adobe XD, which is now in maintenance mode with no new features being added.
