Huawei Central reports that Tesla is preparing to introduce the Tesla FSD autonomous driving technology to the Chinese market in 2025, with Huawei being a key competitor.
Initially, Tesla aimed to enter the Chinese market by 2024 and received approval to test in China since the beginning of the year. However, issues with regulatory approvals have delayed the plans until early 2025.
Recently, Huawei has developed the high-performance Qiankun ADS 3.0 technology, allowing for automatic parking even without a driver. Yu Chengdong, the head of Huawei Automotive Solutions Business Group, claims that Huawei’s solution is superior even without LiDAR and has outperformed in autonomous driving tests in various countries like the United States and Canada.
Another advantage of Huawei in the autonomous driving solution business is its strong partnerships with electric vehicle manufacturers in the Chinese market across different segments, such as BYD and Audi. Additionally, Huawei is the backbone behind the successful sales of cars in China like AITO M9 and M7 Ultra.
TLDR: Huawei and Tesla are set to compete in the Chinese market with autonomous driving technology, with Huawei boasting high-performance solutions and strong partnerships with EV manufacturers.
