Google Ads now permits advertisers to “create persona images with AI” for use in banner advertisements.
The AI system used to generate persona images from the Imagen 3 model had previously encountered issues, but Google has fixed it and started offering the service to create persona images in other apps like Google Workspace.
One limitation of creating persona images in Google Ads is that they must be of adult people, depicting lifestyle activities only. It cannot be used for creating images of children, celebrities, politicians, inappropriate content, or with branded products. All images created with AI will have Google’s SynthID watermark embedded in them.
