Representatives from Amazon stated that the company will continue to offer Astro for residential customers as usual. Astro was introduced for home use in 2021. The employees in charge of Astro for Business will now oversee all residential customers, with no layoffs taking place.
Astro can only be accessed by invitation from Amazon, priced at $1,600 per unit. It has the ability to inspect various areas within the home and alert users to abnormalities or specific sounds, such as broken glass or warning signals.
