AMD has announced a delay in the release date of their desktop CPU flagship Ryzen 9000 Zen 5 processors, originally set for July 31st, now pushed to August. This decision was made due to quality issues found in the initial production units shipped to channel partners. The specifics of these quality issues have not been disclosed.
According to reports, AMD has recalled the Ryzen 9000 CPUs delivered to retail channels and hardware OEM manufacturers, who will receive new batches of the product. As a result, the sales launch date has been slightly postponed.
The Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X will now be available for purchase on August 8th, while the Ryzen 9 9950X and Ryzen 9 9900X will hit the market on August 15th.
