The YouGov polling agency, in collaboration with Yahoo! News, surveyed the opinions of 1,677 American individuals regarding Elon Musk, Tesla, and DOGE. One crucial question posed was whether they are interested in purchasing or leasing a Tesla in the future.
A mere 2% currently own or lease a Tesla, while 18% expressed interest, with a significant 67% showing disinterest and 13% remaining undecided.
For those who indicated disinterest, a follow-up question inquired if Elon Musk is a contributing factor to their lack of interest in Tesla.
Among the respondents, 20% cited Elon Musk as the sole reason for their disinterest, 17% mentioned him as a partial reason, 27% denied his influence on their disinterest, and 3% remained unsure.
Furthermore, the survey delved into perceptions of Elon Musk overall, with 21% viewing him very positively, 18% positively, 10% negatively, 45% very negatively, and 6% claiming neutrality.
Collectively, negative sentiments towards Musk tallied up to 55%, while positive sentiments amounted to 39%.
