Apple has recently released an update on the user distribution of each version of iOS. This report reveals the statistics for the first time since iOS 17 was launched in September. The data provided is as of February 4th, 2024.
iOS 17 holds a 76% user share among all iPhone users sold in the past four years. In contrast, iOS 16 accounts for 20% of the user base. However, when considering all iPhone models, iOS 17 only represents 66%. This figure is lower than iOS 16, which had an 81% share during the same time period.
Apple also shared the numbers for iPadOS. In terms of iPad models released within the past four years, iPadOS 17 holds a 61% user share. However, when including all iPad models, iPadOS 17’s share drops to 53%.
