iFixit has announced the termination of their partnership with Samsung in selling and distributing repair components and tools for fixing devices. Both companies had previously announced their collaboration 2 years ago.
According to iFixit, during the partnership, they encountered several issues that may have affected their main goal of enabling customers to repair their devices themselves. These issues included excessively high prices for parts that made repairs not cost-effective, restrictions on the number of parts orders for external repair shops, and the design of components that made repairs difficult. An example cited by iFixit is the use of adhesive to attach the screen and battery of Samsung smartphones, requiring the purchase of specific parts kits.
As a result of ending this partnership, iFixit will be closing the Samsung Repair Hub, discontinuing the official repair guides created in collaboration with Samsung, but will continue to sell aftermarket OEM parts moving forward in the same way they sell iPhone repair parts.

TLDR: iFixit ends partnership with Samsung in selling repair parts, will continue to sell aftermarket parts independently.
