Konami has announced that the release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a remastered version of Metal Gear Solid 3, will be on August 28, 2025, in line with previous leaks.
Metal Gear Solid Delta, or Part 3, is considered the earliest storyline in the entire Metal Gear timeline. Set in the year 1964 during the Cold War era, it follows the tale of Naked Snake, the original protagonist of the series known by the codename “Snake”.
Initially, Konami intended to upgrade the game’s graphics to meet current standards but realized that fans desire more than just a graphical update. Therefore, they expanded the scope of the project to include entirely new animations, breaking technical limitations that were impossible to achieve at that time. The game will also introduce a third-person perspective similar to modern games, allowing players to choose between playing in the New Style or the Old Style.
Pre-orders for the game are now available, and those who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition will also receive the Sneaking DLC Pack, details of which have not yet been revealed.
