Announcement: Take-Two Interactive Unveils Workforce Reduction Plan, Terminates Some Game Projects

Take-Two Interactive Software, the parent company of 2K Games, Rockstar, and Zynga, has announced a plan to lay off around 5% of its workforce, totaling approximately 580 employees by the end of 2024. This decision is attributed to the need to reduce expenses.

According to Take-Two, this round of layoffs is expected to save around $160-200 million. In addition to the workforce reduction, the company is also cancelling some of its in-development game projects, although specific titles were not disclosed.

This latest round of layoffs marks the third wave of workforce reductions at Take-Two since the beginning of 2023.
