Anthropic secures additional $4 billion investment from Amazon

Anthropic has announced an additional $4 billion investment from Amazon to expand collaboration in various areas, including using AWS as the main cloud for training AI models. Amazon’s total investment in Anthropic now stands at $8 billion. Despite this, Amazon remains a minority shareholder in Anthropic and does not hold a position on the company’s board.

Anthropic stated that the company has partnered with AWS’s Annapurna Labs to develop the Trainium processor for AI tasks.
