Apple has greenlit the Emulator app to simulate PC operations on the App Store in accordance with the new policy announced in April. Some Emulator games like Delta have already made their way to the store.
Most recently, Apple has approved an app called UTM SE as an emulator to simulate old-school PC operations to play classic PC games. It has also been released on the store. It is developed from QEMU and supports the creation of simulated PCs with x86, PowerPC, and RISC-V architectures. Users can create virtual PCs and install their operating systems (like Linux or FreeDOS) and play old games on iOS/macOS/visionOS devices.
Users outside of Europe can download UTM SE directly from the App Store. Meanwhile, users in Europe have the option to download it through AltStore PAL.
TLDR: UTM SE, an emulator app for old-school PC games, is now available on the iOS and visionOS App Store, with AltStore PAL distribution coming soon. Users can create virtual PCs and play classic games on iOS/macOS/visionOS devices.
