Apple Launches Production of Record-High Volume AirPods 4, Introducing Two Sub-Models

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has reported additional information about the new AirPods. According to sources from suppliers like GoerTek and Luxshare, preparations are underway to produce the new AirPods in May, with an initial production target of 20-25 million units, a record high. The expected launch and sale of the new AirPods are slated for September-October.

The AirPods 4 will replace the 2nd and 3rd Gen AirPods, with two sub-models currently codenamed E – Entry and M – Mid-tier. These models will feature some functionalities similar to the AirPods Pro, such as noise cancellation and Find My capabilities.

As for the new AirPods Pro, the standout feature will be a Hearing Aid assistance system, expected to hit the market next year. Additionally, Apple is reportedly developing a new feature for the AirPods Pro, involving a low-resolution camera to monitor the user’s surroundings in real-time.
