Apple plans to allow users in Europe to uninstall Safari from iOS by the end of 2024.

Apple has sent additional documentation regarding compliance with the European DMA law, with new information on plans to allow iOS users in Europe to remove Safari from the system if desired. Apple has stated that they aim to introduce this option by the end of 2024.

The document also includes details on the default browser selection screen that will be introduced in iOS 17.4, and Apple will also introduce an option for a default navigation app, such as choosing Google Maps over Apple Maps, with a target set for March 2025.
