Apple Rolls Out iOS 18.0.1, iPadOS 18.0.1, watchOS 11.0.1 Update Addressing Numerous Bugs Including Devices Freezing and Battery Drain Issues

Apple has released minor updates for its operating systems including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS to address various reported issues. These include slow touch response on iPhone 16 Pro and sudden shutdowns on iPad Pro with M4 chip.

Details of all updates are as follows:

iOS 18.0.1 fixes slow touch response on iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, resolves camera freezing when entering 4K video mode, disables HDR on iPhone 16 Pro, enhances security by recording voice messages before the microphone indicator appears, and improves VoiceOver security by vocalizing password entries.

iPadOS 18.0.1 resolves memory allocation issues on certain iPad models, fixes problems on iPad Pro with M4 chip, and addresses a bug where Messages app crashes when responding via Apple Watch.

watchOS 11.0.1 addresses self-restarting Apple Watch, prevents Music app from closing unexpectedly during song downloads, improves battery flow, and resolves unresponsive touch screen issues on Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Series 10, and Apple Watch Ultra 2.

macOS Sequoia 15.0.1 addresses the compatibility issue with third-party security software.

visionOS 2.0.1 fixes Safari freeze caused by YouTube and restores lost Web Extension data.
