Mark Gurman from Bloomberg reported rumors of a new Apple product in his newsletter, Power On, detailing a smart home device called the HomePod with a screen.
Gurman’s information indicates that the device will resemble the iMac G4, using the A18 chip to support Apple Intelligence on a screen approximately the size of an iPhone 2 laid horizontally. Not overly large, it sports a square shape. Apple aims to price it affordably to make it a staple in homes, pushing its new operating system, homeOS, into more households.
The feature reminiscent of the iMac G4 is the base of the screen, which Gurman notes will be angled from the base, giving off an iMac G4 vibe.
