Google Photos version now allows users to access it through the website on a computer. This enhances the capability of automatically backing up photos from the computer. Many users have noticed this feature in the past few days.
The process works by users setting up folders for Google Photos to automatically back up. When they visit photos.google.com next time, the system checks for new images or videos and uploads them to Google Photos. This is similar to setting up Google Drive app on Windows and Mac desktops.
To set it up for the first time, go to the Upload button, choose Back up folders, then select the folders you want to back up and grant access.
