Automated Voiceover Technology Revolutionizes World Poker Tour to Reach Latino Market in America

World Poker Tour, also known as WPT, the leading global poker tournament organizer, has announced a collaboration with Papercup, an AI company specializing in developing automatic voice-over systems that maintain the rhythm of speech and intonation just like the original. They will be providing voice-over recordings of poker tournaments to engage Latin American viewers.

Papercup stated that the voice-over content for the World Poker Tour, which will be translated and voiced, consists of a total of 184 episodes, each lasting 44 minutes, totaling over 140 hours, and will be voiced in Brazilian Portuguese.

Previously, the entire voice-over process took approximately 6 months, but Papercup mentioned that the time taken for voice insertion using AI has been significantly reduced, allowing the tournament content to be distributed to various countries through different channels in their local languages much faster than before.

Currently, Papercup’s clients include production companies such as Fremantle, Bloomberg, Sky News, Fuse Media, and The Jamie Oliver Group, with Sky Group also being an investor in the company.

TLDR: The World Poker Tour partners with Papercup to provide voice-over recordings for poker tournaments in Brazilian Portuguese, shortening the process with AI technology and expanding viewership in Latin America.
