Azure has launched the Azure AI Content Understanding service, which enables users to extract data according to the desired schema from various data sources such as documents, images, audio files, and videos. The usage format ranges from extracting various field data from documents, requesting summaries from videos while evaluating customer emotions, to extracting transcripts from videos.
Previously, Microsoft provided a similar service called Azure AI Document Intelligence, but it was limited to document-related tasks only. This new service seems to integrate Document Intelligence with image, audio, and video understanding, thereby enhancing its versatility.
