Bitbucket enforces limitations on free accounts: storage and features restricted.

Atlassian has announced a reduction in privileges for Bitbucket Cloud’s free version as follows:

Repository storage space reduced to 1GB
Free workspace accounts can no longer upload or download additional files
Free workspace accounts no longer support snippet features
Pipelines log files reduced to 90 days

These changes will take effect on April 28, 2025. If our free account exceeds these quotas, it will be switched to read-only mode unless files are deleted or upgraded to a paid account starting at $3.30 per user per month (package table and pricing).

TLDR: Atlassian is scaling back features for Bitbucket Cloud’s free version, impacting storage space, file upload capabilities, snippet features, and pipelines log retention. Account holders exceeding quotas risk being switched to read-only mode or can opt for a paid plan starting at $3.30 per user per month.
