Board of BOI Approves TikTok’s Investment in Data Hosting in Thailand Worth 1.26 Trillion Baht.

The BOI has approved investments in 3 key projects totaling over 1.7 trillion baht to develop Thailand into a Digital Hub and a leading global industrial hub. The new investments include:

– Data Hosting project by TikTok’s subsidiaries, installing servers and equipment in data centers for processing large-scale data in Bangkok, Samut Prakan, and Chachoengsao, totaling 126.79 billion baht.
– AI Cloud Service project by Siam AI investing in Chonburi and Pathum Thani, totaling 3.25 billion baht.
– Production of Potassium Chloride by Asia Pacific Potash Corporation, a key ingredient in fertilizer production, investing in Udon Thani, totaling 40.4 billion baht.
