Capcom has announced the cessation of content updates for Exoprimal, an online co-op game where teams of 5 battle against hordes of dinosaurs, set to launch in 2022.
Following its release, Exoprimal received a total of 4 seasons of content updates, featuring characters from Capcom franchises such as Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, and Mega Man.
This announcement signifies that Exoprimal will no longer receive new content updates, but the game will continue to be supported by reissuing old seasons for replay every month. In cases where online matchmaking falls short of players, bots will be automatically added to ensure gameplay continues.
Exoprimal represents Capcom’s endeavor to venture into the live service genre, although not achieving significant success. Games in the live service genre often follow this pattern and tend to shut down shortly thereafter.

TLDR: Capcom halts content updates for Exoprimal, an online co-op game fighting dinosaurs, but will continue to provide replay of old content monthly with added bots for matchmaking shortages.
