Capcom rumored to be remastering Resident Evil 0 and Code: Veronica

Information from Dusk Golem, a leaker known for providing fairly accurate information, reveals that in addition to the development of Resident Evil 1 Remake, Capcom is also working on remakes of Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil – Code: Veronica.

According to Dusk Golem, Resident Evil 0 Remake is being developed by studios K2 and M-Two, the same teams behind Resident Evil 3 Remake. While the reception for Resident Evil 3 Remake was mixed among fans, K2 and M-Two redeemed themselves with the successful DLC Separate Ways for Resident Evil 4 Remake, garnering praise from avid gamers.

As for Resident Evil – Code: Veronica Remake, the development team consists of Capcom Dev 1, the team responsible for Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 4 Remake.

Resident Evil 0, originally released alongside Resident Evil Remake in 2002 for GameCube, was the first entry in the series to feature a partner system, a gameplay mechanic that was further developed in Resident Evil 4-6. On the other hand, Code: Veronica was initially released in 2000 for Dreamcast and served as a direct sequel to Resident Evil 2.

Additionally, Dusk Golem mentions that the highly anticipated Resident Evil 9, which has yet to be officially announced, has been pushed back for a late 2025 release and will not be revealed in August as previously rumored.
