Amazon has announced the suspension of its drone delivery service, Amazon Prime Air, in the town of Lockford, California. This town was one of the first testing grounds for drone delivery back in 2013. However, ceasing operations in one city is not surprising as Amazon plans to expand drone deliveries in other cities across the United States by 2025. Nevertheless, drone delivery services must obtain permission from the aviation regulatory agency.

TLDR: Amazon halts drone delivery service in Lockford, California, but has plans to expand to other U.S. cities by 2025. Regulatory approval is necessary for drone deliveries.
