Ceasing Support: Apple discontinuing synchronization of Safari bookmarks on iOS 10 or older and macOS Sierra 10.12.5 or older.

Apple has announced that syncing Safari bookmarks through iCloud will cease to function on devices running iOS 10 or earlier, as well as macOS Sierra 10.12.5 or earlier, starting December 18, 2024.

For older devices, Safari bookmarks can still be accessed locally but will not sync to other devices and cannot be recovered on iCloud.com. Apple advises users to update their devices to at least iOS 11 or macOS Sierra 10.12.6. If updating is not possible, Apple allows for data export by selecting the Bookmark folder in Safari on iPhone or iPad and copying it to Notes or Files. On Mac, users can go to File > Export > Bookmarks in Safari to export the file.

TLDR: Apple will no longer support syncing Safari bookmarks via iCloud on older devices, prompting users to update to iOS 11 or macOS Sierra 10.12.6 for continued functionality. Export options are available for those unable to update.
