Collaborating with multiple strategic partners, Hasbro in discussions to develop a new installment of Baldur’s Gate following Larian’s discontinuation.

In an interview with PC Gamer, Eugene Evans, the Deputy Head of Digital Strategy and Licensing at Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast, discussed the future of Baldur’s Gate after Larian Studios decided not to release any DLCs for Baldur’s Gate 3 and instead started development on a new game.

Eugene mentioned that the company is currently in talks with several partners who are excited about the challenge of shaping the future of the Baldur’s Gate franchise. They hope that gamers won’t have to wait another 25 years for a sequel like they did between Baldur’s Gate 2 and Baldur’s Gate 3.

Furthermore, Eugene stated that the company will take their time to find the right team and direction for the future of the Baldur’s Gate series. They will not rush into making decisions on who to collaborate with for game development or which franchise to work on.
