Collaboration Announcement: Toyota Partners with Waymo to Implement Autonomous Technology in Personal Vehicles

Toyota and Waymo have announced a preliminary collaboration to accelerate the development and implementation of autonomous vehicle technology. Initially, both companies will explore ways for integrating Waymo’s autonomous vehicle control technology into Toyota’s personal vehicles.

This statement indicates that Waymo, known for its autonomous taxi services in various areas and accumulating millions of miles of travel data, in conjunction with Toyota, the world’s largest producer of personal vehicles, will expand the reach of autonomous vehicles to more users.

Waymo also mentioned plans to introduce Toyota vehicles into their autonomous taxi services, in addition to the current lineup featuring Jaguar, Hyundai, and Geely vehicles.
