Collaboration Initiative: Meta Partners with Schools in the United States to Expand Reporting Channels for Cyberbullying Issues.

Instagram has introduced the School Partnership Program for elementary and middle schools in the United States, allowing caregivers to report issues related to the safety of teenagers, including cyberbullying.

Meta, Instagram’s parent company, referenced a survey of teenagers in America and found that only 13% of online bullying cases were reported for resolution. This is due to the lack of authority for caregivers to report problems. The program is designed to provide caregivers with a more efficient way to report incidents.

Schools and educational institutions participating in this program will receive a School Partner label on their Instagram profiles, providing them with a special channel to report online bullying issues more swiftly. Meta believes that this will help reduce issues among teenagers.
