Collaborative Partnership: OpenAI Engages with The Atlantic and Vox Media to Train AI with News Content

OpenAI has announced agreements with two major media companies, The Atlantic and Vox Media, to access content for training AI and utilizing it in ChatGPT. Prior to this, OpenAI had made agreements with several other media companies such as News Corp, Axel Springer, DotDash Meredith, Financial Times, and The Associated Press.

The value of these deals has not been disclosed, but it is expected to be in line with previous agreements with companies like News Corp, which was approximately $250 million over 5 years. A representative from Vox Media stated that the agreement will involve using OpenAI technology to enhance products related to Affiliate and advertising systems. Meanwhile, The Atlantic mentioned that they have established Atlantic Labs department for developing AI tools to enhance both newsroom operations and reader capabilities.
