Concord Game Announces No Money-Making Battle Pass Models Unlike Other Games Due to Already Valuing the Game at $40.

Concord, a 5v5 team shooting game by Sony, recently announced that they will not be implementing a Battle Pass monetization system commonly seen in live service games nowadays. The official statement from Concord emphasized their commitment to providing the best gameplay experience from day one and pledged to release post-launch content regularly.

The reason behind Concord’s ability to maintain such a cool image is due to the fact that players have to pay $40 upfront to play the game. This is unlike many free-to-play games that rely on revenue solely from Battle Pass models.

Games like Helldivers 2, which saw success earlier this year as a live service shooter, also charged $40 for the game, along with additional revenue from cosmetic item sales.
