Confirmation from Microsoft: Windows 11 24H2 Issues Cause Game Assassin’s Creed and Star Wars Outlaws to Freeze, Unable to Launch

Microsoft has confirmed issues with the Windows 11 24H2 update that may cause certain Ubisoft games to not open properly or in some cases, get stuck during gameplay. Ubisoft games that Microsoft has identified as experiencing this issue include Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Star Wars Outlaws, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. However, Ubisoft has released an emergency patch version 1.4.0 specifically for Star Wars Outlaws to address this problem and allow temporary gameplay.

Microsoft is actively working on fixing this issue, and advises Windows 11 users encountering problems with these games to uninstall this update for now. At the same time, Microsoft is blocking the update on PCs that have these games installed.
