Court Blocks Telegram Usage in Spain due to Legal Issues

The high court in Spain has issued a ban on Telegram in the country effective since March 23. There is no specified time frame for this ban, leading network service providers in Spain to block access to the platform.

This court order stems from complaints filed by major media companies in Spain such as Mediaset, Atresmedia, and Movistar Plus, alleging that Telegram allows users to upload content that infringes on copyrights. As a result, the court has ordered the suspension of the platform pending further investigation.
