Cutting-Edge Apple Intelligence Unleashed in Latest Update for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

Apple has announced that the Apple Intelligence AI capabilities are now available for general use in the latest updates of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1. The initial features include Writing Tools for assistance in Mail and Messages, Photos tool for creating albums based on text input and improved image search, Clean Up tool for removing objects from pictures, Transcription for converting voice to text in Notes, Phone, and other apps, improved Focus and Notification functions, and a revamped Siri with a new interface that lights up the screen edges when activated.

To enable Apple Intelligence, device language and Siri language must be set to U.S. English for now. Supported devices include iPhone 16 series, iPad with A17 Pro or M1 chip or newer, and Mac with M1 chip or newer. Apple plans to add support for additional languages in Apple Intelligence, starting with regional English languages in December such as Australian, Canadian, Irish, New Zealand, South African, and UK English. More languages will be added progressively until 2025, including Chinese, Indian English, Singapore English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese.

Upcoming capabilities for Apple Intelligence include image creation tools, object and location identification, real-time language translation tool, and integration with ChatGPT, expected to be released in December as part of the iOS 18.2 update.
