The remastered version will introduce a new mode called Horde Assault, where players must survive zombie hordes for as long as possible to earn points. This remastered version is a collaboration between Bend Studio, the original creators of the game, and Climax Studios, a UK-based studio specializing in game ports and known for their work on Returnal.
The game will be available for digital purchase only, with players who own Days Gone on PS4 having the option to upgrade to the remastered version for $10. The full price of the game will be $49.99.
PC players who have been enjoying Days Gone since 2021 will not receive a remastered version. Instead, Sony will offer DLC content titled Broken Road for $10, providing additional features and content.
