Definition of Microsoft’s AI-powered PC Revealed: NPU Chip a Must, Copilot Button Essential on Keyboard

Intel has revealed the terms of using the term “AI PC” by Microsoft, which must meet the following 3 conditions:

The chip must include both CPU, GPU, and NPU (Intel’s case is Core Ultra)
The operating system must enable the Copilot feature
The keyboard must have a Copilot button

Simultaneously, Intel also invites both independent software vendors and independent hardware vendors to join the AI PC Developer Program to ensure that software will work well on AI PCs using Core Ultra. Examples of software companies that have joined include Adobe, Webex, Zoom, and gaming groups like 3DMark, Call of Duty, Mortal Kombat, among others. Participating software companies will receive the latest hardware in the form of ASUS NUC 14 Pro Dev Kit (Core Ultra) to use.
