Dell and Supermicro Collaborate on Crafting the Supercomputer Grok xAI for Elon Musk’s Half System

Michael Dell, founder and CEO of Dell, recently shared a glimpse into the production of server machines for Grok, the AI service under Elon Musk’s xAI business empire. This supercomputer, as hinted by Elon, is rumored to be powered by the NVIDIA H100 GPU, but the exact number of GPUs in Dell’s system remains undisclosed. Following Dell’s announcement, Elon Musk’s side revealed that Dell is responsible for only half of the entire system, with the other half being developed by Supermicro (SMC), a major server manufacturer.
