Deezer, the music streaming platform, has discovered that more than 18% of the new songs uploaded to the platform each day are created using AI, totaling around 20,000 tracks per day. This is an increase from the 10% reported in January 2025.
The head of innovation at Deezer emphasized that while AI presents new opportunities for music creation, there is a responsibility to develop this technology in a way that protects the rights of artists and ensures transparency for listeners.
Deezer remains a leading platform that has signed onto a global declaration on responsible AI training. Most recently, they have begun to exclude AI-generated songs from their music recommendation system, setting them apart from Spotify, which still embraces AI-generated music.
