Elden Ring’s Release Boosts Bloodborne Player Count by 57% amid Shadow of the Erdtree Launch

Information from TureTrophies, a site that collects Trophies statistics of players on the PlayStation platform, in conjunction with GameInsights, a site that collects player statistics, revealed that in the past June, the number of Bloodborne players on both PS5 and PS4 increased by 57.77% from June 9 to June 30. This coincides with the release period of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.

Furthermore, by the end of June, it was found that Bloodborne had an increase of 11.61% in players, ranking it 65th on the PlayStation platform with the highest number of players. Surprisingly, among other FromSoftware games, only Dark Souls III saw a player increase of 5.9%, ranking it 121st in the same week.

Bloodborne, the first Soulslike game to pick up the pace of gameplay and incorporate a European steampunk aesthetic along with Gothic art inspired by H.P. Lovecraft and Bram Stoker’s literature, sold 7.46 million copies. It remains one of the most demanded games for Sony to consider remaking or updating to play at a maximum of 60fps since the game’s frame rate is locked at 30fps on PS4, Ps4 Pro, and PS5.
